So excited to have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award. Thank you to Elna from Twins Mommy for the recognition and nomination!
It’s awesome to receive recognition for something so many of us work hard on, and that is blogging! This award helps us show our appreciation and admiration to one another. And I get to support more bloggers by paying it forward!
THE BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD
This award is given to bloggers by bloggers for their dedication and hard work they put into their blog and brand. As a new blogger, I love this idea. It’s a great way to support other bloggers let them know you’re reading their amazing content!
When you’re nominated, the blogger is supposed to:
- Write a post about being nominated
- Give a brief story of how and why they started a blog
- Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers
- Thank whoever nominated them and link back to their blog
- Select and notify 15 other blogs they want to give the award to
HOW THIS BLOG BEGAN
I started this blog this year! It began as a means to push myself towards something more. I wanted to create content that would help other Moms because the online community has in a sense, become that “village” that we still need to connect and support each other through motherhood.
Owning my own thing, so to speak, was also a huge draw. Being able to own what goes into my blog is personally rewarding. It is something I take pride in and gives me the ability to help others.
I’m excited to grow as the blog progress and offer products down the road!
ADVICE FOR NEW BLOGGERS
1. START TODAY!
If blogging is something you’ve always wanted to do, there is no better time than NOW. If you decide to research and start 6 months from now, you’ll still end up figuring stuff out as you go.
Accept that things will change: You, your brand, your content, and your graphics will evolve as you grow and you will refine your approach, but you cannot do that without beginning the journey!
Join a couple of blogging communities on Facebook – don’t go crazy, you do not want to spread yourself too thin. When you settle into 2-3 Facebook groups that you love, BE ACTIVE.
Ask questions, answer questions, reach out for help, and help others. Above all else get engaged (don’t just post on Share days, build a community), people in these groups will support and grow with you.
Check out these inspiring bloggers and don’t forget to pay it forward!
